Here are some few things Dr. Kouroshnia would say in an interview:
- Aggressive tooth brushing – using the wrong type bristle, anything harsher than a soft brush is only beneficial for your pots and pans.
- Circular motion vs back and forth – small circles brush away debris, sawing back and forth motions brush away your teeth and gum over time which is harmful and destructive to your gums and teeth.
- Not having the right tool for the job; wooden toothpicks should not be used because while you may be removing the food at the moment, you are also traumatizing the gum and bone between the teeth and not eliminating bacteria. Proxabrush is a thin, small brush that fits between the teeth and removes food, bacteria, and massages the gums as well.
