Why Overactive Bladder Seems to Get Worse During the Winter

Available for Interviews: Dr. Karyn Eilber

Karyn Eilber, MD, is a board-certified urologist, an associate professor of urology & OB/GYN at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, and is an expert in women’s health and men & women’s sexual wellness.

What Dr. Eilber Can Say on
Overactive Bladder:

Overactive bladder (OAB) is urinary frequency, urgency, and sometimes urge urinary incontinence. Although there isn’t a direct connection between cold weather and overactive bladder, the indirect relationship may be due to 1) drinking more fluids: we tend to drink more hot drinks when it’s cold, such as coffee, and more fluid causes someone to have to urinate more and caffeine is a bladder irritant; 2) wearing more clothes during the colder months, which means it takes more time to go to the restroom and for some people with OAB this extra time to get your undergarments off is the difference between making to the restroom and not.

How We Can Actually Stick to Our New Year’s Health Resolutions

Available for Interviews: Dr. Michael Evangel

Dr. Michael S. Evangel, Chiropractic Physician, is the owner of the Chiropractic Wellness Center in Paramus, NJ. For over 30 years, his mission is to provide state-of-the-art, high-quality care to people of all ages.

What Dr. Mike Evangel could say on
Keeping Your Resolutions:

    • Taking a step in the right direction is a good idea any time of the year.
    • Traditionally New Year’s Resolutions often end up on the scrap heap before the end of January.
    • A valuable strategy is to try to not bite off more than you can chew and limit yourself to one New Year’s Resolution. Accomplishing one resolution is better than having 10 failed resolutions.
    • After you fully adopt any resolution, you can always implement another at any time of the year.

Here are my top 6 New Year’s Resolution suggestions for 2022:

      1. Eliminate junk food from your diet.
      2. Increase the amount of exercise that you are getting.
(Always consult a physician before starting any exercise program.)
      3. Try to get a minimum of 7 hours of sleep a night, preferably 8.
      4. Think more positively and not negatively about everything in your life!
      5. Minimize your exposure to toxins, including EMF.
      6. Spend more time outdoors in nature and in the sunshine.

Recent Study: COVID Vaccine Benefits Mental Health

Available for Interviews: Dr. Colleen Cira, Psy.D.

Dr. Colleen Cira, Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in Women and Trauma and has worked with hundreds of people struggling with mental health issues.

Talking Points From Dr. Colleen Cira on the
Added Mental Health Benefit to Getting the Vaccine:

    • COVID has put anyone who takes it seriously in a state of chronic nervous system dysregulation. Essentially, our nervous system serves to keep us safe. So whenever we experience something as threatening or dangerous, our stress response goes off. This is essential when we are experiencing acute and imminent danger, but when our nervous system never has a chance to turn off and reset—like in the middle of a global pandemic spanning 18+ months—it can wreak havoc on our minds, bodies, and souls.
