What Trae can say in an interview on
Digital Gift Giving:

Is Covid stopping you from shopping in stores or going to see loved ones or friends this holiday season? Either because of Covid safety concerns or governments restrictions on non-essential activities as cases are rising, this holiday season is challenging and a bummer. People are opting to not go out publicly to shop to limit potential exposure and they will not be celebrating the holidays with their family in person, so what is one to do?
Virtual Shopping has become En Vogue this holiday season because of the above. Traffic at stores on Black Friday fell by 52.1% compared with last year, according to preliminary data from Sensormatic Solutions. Online spending on Black Friday surged 21.6% to hit a new record, according to data from Adobe Analytics.
E-commerce accounted for 20.9 percent of total holiday sales in 2019. During the pandemic, online and other non-store sales have increased. Over the 2020 holiday season, NRF expects that online and other non-store sales (read: Gift Cards), which are included in the total, will increase between 20 percent and 30 percent to between $202.5 billion and $218.4 billion, up from $168.7 billion last year.  So that means between 40 to 50% of total holiday sales this year will be online or via gift cards.  https://nrf.com/insights/holiday-and-seasonal-trends/winter-holidays
