- Simply extend the distance of the walk to burn more calories than you typically do.
- Intensify walking speed which will get the heart rate up and in turn, burns more calories. It should be performed in intervals of speed walking for 2 minutes and then back to a slower pace for 45 seconds, then repeat.
- Walk with ankle weights or a weighted vest, which is designed to take your workouts up a notch and will help you build lean muscle mass, increase calorie burn, and build strength.
- Combine all three to intensity your walking workouts and achieve the maximum desired effect.
