- First, you want to set up and establish a Trust naming your beneficiaries.

- Second, you can shop around for the most competitive single premium immediate annuity (SPIA). Once you identify the company you will be able to rollover or transfer your IRA into the SPIA. This SPIA or joint SPIA will payout out an immediate taxable income stream that will be guaranteed for the rest of a person’s life or lives, depending on how it is structured.
- Last, you will apply for a life insurance policy which will be owned by the Trust. The guaranteed income stream, net of income taxes, will be used to fund the life insurance policy. The IRA is being used as a funding vehicle to the death benefit will be transferred to the heirs of the Trust Tax Free.
