The Financial Side of Getting Older

Available for Interviews: Glenn Matecun.

Glenn R. Metecun, CELA, is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. Interview Glenn to learn more about estate planning for our vulnerable seniors.

Talking Points on estate issues
involving the elderly:

    • More than 60% of Americans die without a comprehensive estate plan (AARP study), a will or other important items. This sets off a chain of unfortunate events.

    • We need to choose someone who can step in and help us as we become less able to make these important decisions.
    • We want to make sure assets can be passed forward in the most tax friendly way as possible

    • Probate court could take a big bite out of our estate. We need to seek out an Elder law attorney and estate planning attorney to guide us through the intricacies of the law.

    • You need a Trust. It’s like a bucket. You need to put your stuff in a bucket. Seniors, unfortunately put it on a shelf.
