Dr. Colleen Cira received both her Masters and Doctorate from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois. - They found that at least 64% of the people they surveyed had at least 1 ACE in their background (www.cdc.gov)ACE Study:
- The Center for Disease Control (CDC) surveyed thousands of people about adverse childhood experiences (ACE) as well as current difficulties in their life.
- The more ACES you have, the more likely you are to have risky health behaviors, chronic health conditions, low life potential, and early death (www.cdc.gov)
- You may have even tried going to therapy to deal with whatever is bugging you now – depression, anxiety, relationship issues, perfectionism, etc – but if you haven’t dealt with whatever is in your past, it will likely continue to interfere with your present.
