What Melissa Myers can say in an interview on
Building Wealth:

          • Building wealth and KEEPING wealth is not an accident. Unintentional mistakes can strip a woman of her windfall if she isn’t prepared. Just like mistakes and lack of clarity can keep a woman from building wealth.

          • Building and keeping wealth takes discipline, maturity, focus and purpose. The principals are the same whether you have a little or you have a lot. In the case of a windfall, those who have a strong money compass are better at maximizing their newfound wealth.
          • Oftentimes, women who inherit money or win the lottery, who didn’t have their finances in order prior to the windfall, end up with little to nothing to show within a few years.  While those who had a solid financial foundation prior to their windfall make wiser choices which enhance their goals, values, and net worth.
          • My advice is to prepare for wealth in advance. Prepare before you have it. Develop the skills and disciplines to manage a little and you’ll be prepared when you have a lot.
