What Nadine Levitt can say in an interview about
Holiday Stress
:

    • The holidays can be a stressful time for everyone, with last-minute shopping, sometimes financial or personal or family pressures building up, and lots of expectations for how it’s all going to go!
    • Approaching the holidays with curiosity (and therefore letting go of expectations, which are only caused by your pattern recognition) and staying on top of your emotional responses can make a huge difference.
    • We are as human beings programmed to recognize patterns, but those patterns are not based on facts they are based on the stories we tell ourselves, and they can be extremely unhelpful as they are the culprits for our expectations.
    • Arguably all of life’s conflict comes from unmet expectations so try to be aware of the difference between reality and your predictions.
    • Try to make a habit of checking in with yourself and seeing how you feel. Identifying and acknowledging emotions quickly as they come up make it easier to process them.

This quickly grew into a school program, with the development of a supporting curriculum and classroom resources, and toys and other children’s products that foster a healthy relationship with emotions.
