What Leni Rivera can say in an interview
on the Importance of Employee Happiness
:

Over the last two decades, the most progressive companies have made the important shift from being customer-centric to employee-centric, focusing their core values on fostering and maintaining employee happiness. It will be these same companies who will rise to the top as the corporate world grapples with the post-pandemic development of their “future workplace.”

    •  A workplace filled with happy employees not only sounds great, but it’s also great for business. Research shows that a happy workforce is more productive by 31%, has more accuracy on tasks by 19%, and as a result, raises sales by 37%.
    •  In 2020, the world was shaken by an invisible war. We all stood as witnesses to the incredible loss of life and loved ones, of livelihoods, and of any sense of control over our surroundings. And while the clutches of this health crisis are slowly loosening their grip, it will take time before people are able to recover completely. It is a false expectation that people and employees will be able to “bounce back” to the way they were before the pandemic.
    • In fact, scientists and experts at Harvard University say that much like the Great Depression and World War II, there will be a lasting impact on every part of our generation as we return to life after the pandemic and that these “broad but hard-to-predict effects will affect society for decades to come.” (Powel, 2020).
    • Companies that remain focused on their employees will naturally take their time with this evolution, and support employees through this transition rather than force it upon them. By maintaining employee happiness at the core of their efforts, these companies will be at the forefront of a successful workplace of the future.
