Here are a few things to take note of why being nice is the new disruptive business strategy:

1)  When customers cannot connect all the dots, their brains go to the negative and perceive a potential threat.  That means a blank face where emotions cannot be determined makes customers uneasy. Instead, have a soft smile that activates the muscles around the eyes and this will generate trust in the customer’s brain.

Available for interviews: One of our health care Media Ambassadors

Here are some talking points on the subject of allergies—how to eliminate sources of allergens in our households and foods, and how to best treat using a more holistic approach:

Allergic Reactions

When exposed to an allergen, the body triggers the immune system to go into action. The immune system cells, known as “mast cells,” release a substance called histamine that attaches to receptors in blood vessels causing them to enlarge. Histamine also binds to other receptors causing redness, swelling, itching and changes in secretion.

The Problem With Online Medical Reviews

Interview with Dr. Mimi Secor:

What Dr. Mimi Secor Could Say in an Interview:

  • People see themselves as the only patient that day. They may comment as if they are writing a Yelp review and not take all factors into an equation.  This isn’t a dinner reservation.
  • We as clinicians are forced to see people quickly.  Our payment is tied to this. Some doctors seem rushed.  Unfortunately, they are. It is a problem with the system. Some do their best to work around that but will get paid less.
  • Patients come in with expectations with what is wrong/ailing them and expectations for treatment. They trust themselves and the internet more than what the doctor might say.
  • They think they can throw doctors under the bus with a review so they can get what they want.
