Secrets for Top Performers to Thrive Without Overwhelm

Available for Interviews:  Dr. Karen Doll

Karen Doll, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist, professional coach, and the author of the forthcoming book, Building Psychological Fitness: How High Performers Achieve With Ease.

What Dr. Doll can say in an interview on
Secrets for Top Performers
:

    • Avoid comparative anxiety: if you compare, you will despair.
    • Watch out for phantom expectations about what is “good enough.”

Ex: Good moms make homemade meals for their kids.

Ex: Successful people are supposed to be promoted every two years.

Ex: My inbox should be at zero.

Ex: I should be able to focus more.

    • According to who? According to what? There is no universal “good enough” scale. For perfectionists, the goal post just keeps moving. You won’t arrive.
    • Re-frame your “shoulds.” Shoulds are heavy with judgment and self-persecution. Reframe I should work out today vs. It would feel great if I went to the gym.

Interview: Dr. Karen Doll

Karen Doll, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist, Consultant, and author of Building Psychological Fitness (forthcoming November, 2021). She has spent nearly 25 years partnering with industry-leading organizations and coaching high-achieving professionals; she is motivated by a desire to help people thrive, enhance well-being, and optimize leadership skills at every phase, from burgeoning new entrants to accomplished senior leaders. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to mental health awareness and advocacy.
